Rohingyas have written a letter to the Americans to return to their homeland

Md. Zubair. He is the spokesperson of Arkan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights, the organization of Rohingya leader Muhibullah who was killed while working on repatriation.

Several Rohingyas including him have been waiting at Rohingya Camp No. 9 since morning with a letter.

When the US delegation reached the camp, they handed over the letter with the demand to go back to their country of origin. They made this on Wednesday morning.

US Department of State’s Undersecretary for Civilian Security, Human Rights and Democracy, Uzra Zeya, and US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, Donald Lu, spoke with the Rohingyas at that time.

The Rohingyas who were present there said that, the US delegation asked them to be patient when they brought up the issue of education, ration support and repatriation of their children.

after visiting the camp, the delegation held a meeting at the Refugee,Relief and Repatriation Commissioner’s office in Cox’s Bazar. After the meeting, Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Mizanur Rahman said that there was talk about increasing the reduced ration support, repatriation and law and order.

Earlier, the delegation reached the Rohingya Camp No. 9 of Balukhali in Ukhiya around 10:30 am. US Ambassador Peter D. Haas was present at that time. They visited service and cooperation centers run by various UN agencies.
